There are 12 activities shown below in the grid which reflect ‘Friends, Faith and Lifelong Learning’. Try to complete 2 or 3 each week and spread the work over the half term so it is ready to be handed in during the last week of the half term—week beginning 30th March

1 . Research an aspect of Easter e.g. lent, ash Wednesday, shrove Tuesday, Palm Sunday or Good Friday (BBC website is a good start!)

2. Create a piece of ‘African art’ like in #meridenhomeworkhelp

3. STEM CHALLENGE Complete this Teddy Bear Sweets Experiment . The best pieces of work from each class will be displayed in school. Happy investigating!

4. Computing—develop your music making skills using either the garage band app or http://www.isleoftune.com

5. X tables—use the ‘hit the button’ website regularly to practise the ones your find trickiest.

6. Reading—complete a book review for a book you have recently enjoyed (it could be ‘Journey to Jo’burg’) for a recommended reads section to our book corner.

7. Decorate a hard boiled egg as part of a whole school competition—prizes to be won! - To be handed in by 26th March!

8 . Practise your weekly spellings

9. Maths—use the attached fractions wall to write as many equivalent fractions as you can e.g. 1/2 = 3/6 or 5/6 = 10/12

Complete the other maths activities as an extra.

10. During Lent, can you ‘give up’ something you enjoy for a short amount of time?

11. Reading—complete the attached reading comprehension

12. PSHE—create a poster to explain how to keep yourself healthy
