Watch Mr Beamond’s videos on Twitter (#meridenhomeworkhelp) to view recent calculation methods. Create your own questions to solve at home (at least 10 add and 10 subtract questions).

Log into Bug Club and play the spelling and grammar bug games.

Think of the qualities of a friend. Write them a message/note to tell them how much you appreciate them.

Read at least one book a week and try out a new author.

Ask a relative to tell you about the job they do and how they ended up doing it. What inspired them? What do they have to do? What do they most/least enjoy?

Learn your next 10 spellings (orange ones were learnt in Year 3 so should be a recap; green words are new Year 4 ones).

Write a book review for a book you have recently enjoyed.

Create a teaspoon (Thank you, Sorry and Please) around the theme of Remembrance.

Learn your 4x table (if you haven’t already). Try an idea off the parents’ evening hand out.

Make a Christmas decoration with a family member.

Write a historical story using ideas from our work in class.

There are 16 activities shown below in the grid which reflect ‘Friends, Faith and Lifelong Learning’. Try to complete 2 or 3 each week and spread the work over the half term so it is ready to be handed in during the last week of the half term—17th December (the last week of term).
