1. STEM CHALLENGE:

Use everyday items to build a small bridge—how much weight can it hold?

2. Create a ‘caring for a class pet’ poster


3. Make a list  or write a poem about the things which make you happy


4. Learn a few words/ phrases from a different language (French focus)


5. Light a candle for Candlemas and write a prayer of hope for 2019


6. Choose a favourite Pirate story and complete a book review on it.


7. Design a poster for ‘Safer Internet Day’ or create a set of ‘Safe Internet Rules’ for you and your family


8. Login to TT Rockstars (if you haven't already) and practise the x2 x3 x5 and x10 tables


9. Set yourself 3 New Year’s resolutions!


10.ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGE:

To mark the Chinese New Year, use junk modelling to create a Chinese dragon!

11. Read 6 books of your choice and review your favourite


12. Help the wildlife in your garden during this winter time


13. Write some ‘thankyou’ letters to friends and family for Christmas gifts

14. Create a pirate piece of art or model and write a set of instructions for making it


15. Try to exercise a little more every week—walk, run, scoot or ride—you choose!


16. Learn 10 more words from your Spelling list —can you write some sentences including them?
