There are 16 activities shown below in the grid which reflect ‘Friends, Faith and Lifelong Learning’. Try to complete 2 or 3 each week and spread the work over the half term so it is ready to be handed in during the last week of the half term—week beginning 11th February.

1. STEM CHALLENGE:

Use everyday items to build a small bridge—how much weight can it hold?


2. Try some foods which you have never eaten before


3. Make a list  or write a poem about the things which make you happy


4. Learn a few words/ phrases from a different language


5. Light a candle for Candlemas and write a prayer of hope for 2019


6. Choose a favourite dinosaur and create a fact page all about it


7. Design a poster for ‘Safer Internet Day’ or create a set of ‘Safe Internet Rules’ for you and your family

8. Login to TT Rockstars (if you haven't already) and practise the x2 x5 and x10 tables

9. Set yourself 3 New Year’s resolutions!


10.ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGE:

To mark the Chinese New Year, use junk modelling to create a Chinese dragon!

11. Read 6 books of your choice and review your favourite

12. Help the wildlife in your garden during this winter time


13. Write some ‘thankyou’ letters to friends and family for Christmas gifts

14. Learn all of the number bonds to 20—can you create a game to help you practise?


15. Try to exercise a little more every week—walk, run, scoot or ride—you choose!


16. Learn the Tricky Words from Phase 5—can you write some sentences including them?
