Mental Wealth & Emotional Wellbeing

At Meriden CE Primary School, we are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils and staff. We know that everyone experiences life challenges that can make us vulnerable and at times, anyone may need additional emotional support. We take the view that positive mental health is everybody’s business and that we all have a role to play.

 At our school we:

We offer different levels of support:

Universal Support- To meet the needs of all our pupils through our overall ethos and our wider curriculum. For instance taking part in Massage In Schools, Mindfulness activities through PSHE work and Physical Activities which increase wellbeing such as the Meriden Mile, Yoga and PE lessons.

Additonal support- For those who may have short term needs and those who may have been made vulnerable by life experiences such as divorce

Targeted support-  For pupils who need more differentiated support and resources or specific targeted interventions

Lead staff members:

Sarah Parker, Lucy Anderton

What to do if you are concerned about your child or yourself:

Come and talk to us in confidence. We will listen: we do not judge. We can help by providing strategies for areas such as anxiety and anger management, or working with you or your child on a one to one basis. We work with other services such as SOLAR and can make referrals when needed.

You are not alone.
