Curriculum

Our next story we will be focusing on is Mr Gumpy’s Outing. In writing we will be writing up conversations from the story in FS2 and then thinking of our own characters to write our own version of the story. In FS1 we will be retelling the story using puppets and trying to use different voices for different characters and this will then help the children write speech bubbles for different characters. In maths, FS1 will be finding one more than a number and FS2 will be finding one more and one less than a number. We will also be looking at the illustrator’s artistic style and using this to create our own pictures for the story.

As you are aware, 3 and 4 year olds receive free milk from ‘Cool Milk’ through the government scheme. This automatically stops once your child turns 5, and their daily bottle of milk is no longer delivered to school. If you wish for your child to continue with milk at school (until the end of Foundation Stage), you should log into your cool milk account to let them know.  You will be charged 22p per day.  Thank you.

In Foundation Stage we now have ‘deconstructive’ role plays. If you have any egg boxes, yoghurt pots, wall paper rolls, cereal boxes and large boxes please bring them in so the children can create their own role plays
