Our focus this week: The Butterfly Kiss


An ant and a caterpillar are the best of friends.  After caterpillar becomes a butterfly his friend helps him to find a way of eating with his brand new mouth.

Revisiting Alliteration, see plan and activities suggested.

Maths:

Find out what a cube and a cuboid are. Can you find any at home or in your garden?

Phonics:

Recap phase 3 sounds and recognise, read and write phase 4 tricky words ‘do and ‘so’.


Maths:

Butterflies are symmetrical… can you explain what symmetrical means?


Find doubles of numbers… add the number again eg 2 + 2 = 4… double 2 is 4!

Recap phase 3 sounds and recognise, phase 4 tricky words.


Maths:

Look at halving numbers… what numbers can’t be halved? Odd or even? Can you identify odd and even… how can you find out?
